Grow a Row and Help a Neighbor

The Goffstown Network Food Pantry is continuing their excellent Grow a Row program this year and the library is supporting the project as much as possible. The pantry is inviting all gardeners to plant an extra row of vegetables to be donated to help a neighbor in need.

While about 35 local farmers have always generously donated parts of their annual harvest, the food pantry is hoping to increase the amount of fresh produce available to pantry visitors. In 2012, the program accepted 1,000 pounds of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables! The Goffstown Public Library has a great collection of gardening books to help you get started in your planting and growing.

Also, you will be able to drop off your produce at the library when the food pantry is closed and we’ll be sure to deliver what you bring in. Please consider this worthwhile community project – it’s also a great way to get your kids in the garden, learning about growing and giving!

Book Sale, Saturday June 1st

The Friends of the Goffstown Public Library will sponsor their annual book sale on

Saturday, June 1 from 8 am to 3 pm on the library lawn.

Credit cards will be accepted and $2/bag sale starts at 2 pm. The rain location is the Odd Fellows Webster Lodge #24 on Mountain Road. For more information, email friends@goffstownlibrary.com.
