The Summer Experience

Explore “A Universe of Stories

Get ready for out of this world fun with a variety of space-themed programs for all ages. We have an exciting lineup of events, including a concert series with our friends at the Parks & Recreation Department, a traveling planetarium for the children, forensics classes and “Adulting 101” workshops for the teens, a Roving Book Club, art, games, food, and much more!

This summer is NASA’s 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s historic moon landing and the Library is all about outer space! The calendar will be full of events, competitions, and prizes.

Concerts in the Park – Pack a picnic, bring a blanket/chair and enjoy a family-friendly concert. Brought to you by the Goffstown Public Library and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Galileo Galilei, the Starry Messenger – Tuesday, July 30 at 6:30pm. Galileo (Michael Francis, dressed in 17th-century costume) will present a public lecture on his most recent discoveries made using his newly-devised spyglass in this dramatic, fun-filled exhibition. Galileo will answer questions about his experiments, his life, and his times. Experience firsthand the science that rocked the western world! Made possible by a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities.

Roving Book Clubs – We’re taking our book clubs on the road! We’ll meet at a different, popular Goffstown location each month to discuss out-of-this-world fiction and nonfiction. Contact the Library to reserve your copy today.

Summer Sky Watch – Thursday, July 18 at 8:30pm at the Goffstown Water Precinct Field on Rt. 114 with the NH Astronomical Society. RAIN DATE is 8/14 – same time & location.
