Museum & Aquarium Pass Reservations

At our TixKeeper link, Goffstown Library Patrons can conveniently check availability and reserve a museum pass from home or a mobile device. The Friends of the Library sponsor a great selection of free and discounted museum and aquarium passes. Reservations may be placed up to two weeks in advance online, in person or by phone. Pick-up and return policies, and late fees vary per pass.

Just look for “Reserve a Museum Pass” in the sidebar menus, or the big yellow button, and have your library card number & PIN ready:

The Goffstown Public Library offers museum passes to all of its cardholders. Some passes offer free admission, while other passes offer a significantly reduced admission.

Remember, passes must be picked up the day before or on the day of the pass reservation only, at the Goffstown Public Library (be sure to visit the library during operating hours). Please, only one museum pass reservation per day, per patron. Specific information for each pass can be found at the TixKeeper website and certain conditions may apply.

Create a jingle that we can use for all Goffstown Public Library promotions!

We’re looking for a jingle that’s fun, lively, upbeat, and catchy. It must illustrate the library’s relevance to the community; past, present and future and mention there is something for everyone at the library!

Please submit your ORIGINAL entry on a CD, .MP3 file, or send us a link to your website where it will play.

By submitting an entry, you give the Goffstown Public Library the right to use your name and submission for library promotions in any manner deemed appropriate including but not limited to our website, GTV, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter with the understanding that there is no remuneration or monetary compensation for its use. Submissions must be made by May 1st.

April Poetry Happenings

Did we mention that April is Poetry month?

We have lots in store for everyone – from teens and people who like to read poetry, to aspiring poets.

Interactive Poetry Month Display: Are you a poet? Do you love poetry? Submit your original or favorite (credited) poem to be included in the display. Poems will be accepted & displayed through the month. Submit your poem to the library in person or by email to jessicas@goffstownlibrary.com. Tape will be used to display poems, so please submit disposable copies of work only.

Poetry Workshop: Saturday April 13, 2013 11:00 AM – Local poet, Jennifer Militello will guide us through this creative and interactive workshop. New and experienced poets welcome! Please bring a pen & notebook.

Song & Poetry: Spring Poets: Barbara Allen to Blackbird, Tuesday April 23, 2013 6:30 PM – Join us and our guest from the NH Humanities Council, John Perrault, as he explores the reconnection of song and poetry. After the two were separated during the Renaissance, England’s Wordsworth and Coleridge engineered a reconciliation with the publication of Lyrical Ballads in 1798. John, accompanied by his guitar, will sing and recite a few of the early ballads, as well as a line of lyrics from Burns to Wordsworth, Keats to Frost, Dickinson to Dylan, and Mary Oliver to Lennon & McCartney. Registration is requested. This program is sponsored by a grant from the NH Humanities Council.

Online: Throughout the month, teens are invited to enter a “Bio Poem” (a poem that describes a person in 11 lines following a formula) or, a “Wordle Poem” (a combination of art and prose in different fonts, sizes, and colors in horizontal and vertical lines to emphasize your words.) Poems entered at the Goffstown Public Library Teen Facebook Page will be considered for a “most creative” prize.
